Sealing: Empress Green marble must be sealed with a high-quality penetrating stone sealer before grouting and after installation. In wet areas such as shower surrounds, reseal every 12 months to protect against moisture infiltration and staining. The dark pigmentation of green marble can make water marks and residue highly visible on a polished surface, making consistent sealing essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid all acidic products — vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, and bleach will etch the polished surface and cause permanent dull spots. Wipe up spills immediately, especially acidic substances like coffee, wine, or citrus juice. Do not use abrasive scrubbers or scouring pads.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray or dark adhesive from telegraphing through lighter veined areas. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and eliminate voids, which is especially important at this large format. Use tile leveling clips to maintain consistent grout joints and prevent lippage. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting, and use a sanded or unsanded grout matched to your joint width.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
