Sealing: Gold Travertine, even when filled, is a porous natural stone that requires sealing before use and regular maintenance. Apply a penetrating stone sealer prior to grouting and reapply every 12–18 months in bathrooms or kitchens with regular moisture exposure. The light golden tones can show staining from oils and acidic spills if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or any acidic or abrasive products, as these will etch and dull the polished surface. Wipe up spills — especially oils, wine, and acidic liquids — immediately to protect the finish and stone integrity.

Installation: Use a white or ivory polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid color bleed-through on lighter tiles. Back-butter each tile in addition to the substrate for full coverage, which is especially important on floors. Use tile spacers appropriate to your desired grout joint width; a 1/16" to 1/8" joint is common for this format. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting, and use a sanded or unsanded grout matched to joint width and a color that complements the stone's warm tones.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
