Ivory Travertine Pool Coping brings the timeless warmth of natural Mediterranean travertine to the edge of your pool. Quarried from mineral-rich sedimentary deposits, this stone displays a creamy ivory-to-caramel palette with characteristic natural veining and pitting that give every piece an organic, handcrafted character.

Each 16×24 coping piece is tumbled to produce a gently weathered, textured surface that is naturally slip-resistant — an essential safety feature for wet pool environments. The 5cm eased edge profile provides a smooth, comfortable rounded lip along the pool perimeter, eliminating sharp corners while creating a refined, finished appearance.

This coping is ideal for in-ground residential and commercial pool surrounds, spa edges, and raised planters in outdoor living spaces. Because this is a clearance or specialty item, we recommend ordering a sample to confirm color match before purchasing, and ordering 10–15% extra material to account for cuts and future replacements.

Free Shipping: This product ships at standard freight rates calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Ivory Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed before installation and regularly thereafter. In pool environments — with constant water exposure and pool chemicals — apply a premium penetrating (impregnating) stone sealer rated for outdoor and wet-area use. Re-seal every 6–12 months or as recommended by the sealer manufacturer. Do not skip sealing; unsealed travertine in a pool setting will absorb water, chlorine, and minerals that can cause staining and surface deterioration over time.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner specifically formulated for natural travertine. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products) and alkaline degreasers, which will etch and erode the stone surface. Rinse away pool chemicals, sunscreen residue, and organic debris regularly. Do not use pressure washers at high PSI directly on the stone surface, as this can open natural pitting and dislodge filler over time.

Installation: Use a polymer-modified exterior-grade thinset mortar rated for stone and outdoor use. Back-butter each coping piece thoroughly to ensure full coverage, especially at the overhang edge, to prevent hollow spots that could crack under foot traffic or freeze-thaw stress. Set with a slight forward pitch (1/8 inch per foot) away from the pool to promote drainage. Fill natural travertine voids with grout or a color-matched epoxy filler prior to or during installation. Use a non-sanded or sanded grout appropriate to your joint width; consult your installer for joint sizing recommendations specific to coping applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order 10% overage for cuts, waste, and future repairs. Tile & Mosaic Depot specialists are available M–F 8:30AM–5PM PST at 855-797-8453.

Product & Installation Guidance

Natural stone is a product of the earth — every piece is one of a kind. A little planning ensures your finished installation looks its best and lasts for decades.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot is not responsible for improper installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, product misuse, or damage from improper handling, sealing, maintenance, or harsh chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements can be accepted on installed material.

California Proposition 65: Some natural stone products contain substances known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Order a Sample First

Seeing real stone in your own space — under your own light, beside your own finishes — is the best way to buy with confidence. We make it easy and affordable.

How It Works
Samples are just $7.99 each with free shipping, and they ship in 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability, typically ranging from 3"×3" up to 8"×8". Exact dimensions aren't guaranteed, but every sample is cut from the same material you'll receive in a full order.

What a Sample Shows
Samples help you evaluate the general color, texture, finish, and overall character of a product before committing to a full order. Because natural stone varies from piece to piece, your sample is representative — it may not capture the complete range of variation across an entire lot. For current lot photos, just ask our team.
