Sealing: Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and reseal every 12–18 months in wet areas such as showers or around sinks. The ivory coloring makes staining particularly visible, so thorough and consistent sealing is essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop — never use acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon-based products, or grout haze removers, as they will etch the travertine surface and dull its finish. Wipe up spills promptly, especially oils, coffee, or citrus liquids, to prevent staining of the porous stone.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray adhesive from telegraphing through the light-toned stone. Back-butter each liner piece fully for maximum adhesion on wall applications. Align the ogee profile carefully with adjacent molding pieces to ensure continuous, uninterrupted shadow lines, and use non-sanded grout in tight joints to avoid scratching the stone surface.

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
