The Joya Albi 1×1 Pool Tile Series is a premium porcelain mosaic collection purpose-built for swimming pools, spas, water features, and wet outdoor environments. Sourced from Europe, these tiles combine a vitrified, near-zero water absorption body with a refined glazed surface in a palette of blues, whites, and neutral tones that evoke the clarity of open water.

Mounted on fiberglass mesh backing in sheet format, Joya Albi installs efficiently across large pool basins, waterline bands, and curved spa walls — the 1×1 chip size conforming naturally to contoured and radius surfaces. The smooth glazed finish reflects water and light with brilliant effect, while the tile body's density ensures long-term resistance to pool chemicals, freeze-thaw cycles, and UV exposure.

Ideal for both residential and commercial pool projects, this series is approved for full submersion, waterline, and exterior wet applications. 30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Porcelain pool tile does not require sealing due to its vitrified, near-zero absorption body. Grout joints in pool environments should be sealed with a pool-grade, waterproof grout sealer and inspected annually, particularly at the waterline where chemical exposure is highest.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral tile cleaner or a diluted solution approved for use in pool environments. Avoid acidic cleaners such as vinegar or muriatic acid on glazed surfaces, as these can etch the glaze and degrade grout over time. For mineral scale or calcium deposits at the waterline, use a non-abrasive calcium remover specifically formulated for glazed pool tile.

Installation: Use a pool-grade, white polymer-modified thinset mortar rated for full submersion to prevent bond failure. Align mesh sheets carefully to maintain consistent 1/16-inch grout joints across the field. For pool floors and steps, back-butter each sheet in addition to combing the substrate for full coverage. Finish with a pool-grade sanded or unsanded epoxy grout for maximum chemical and water resistance.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
