Sealing: Joya Verde must be sealed with a premium penetrating stone sealer rated for submerged or continuous wet environments before installation and grouting. For pool and spa applications, reseal annually or as recommended by your sealer manufacturer — more frequently in heavily used pools. Proper sealing is essential to prevent chlorine, mineral deposits, and pool chemicals from penetrating the stone surface.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — never use acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, or harsh chlorine scrubs directly on the stone surface, as these will etch and degrade the finish over time. For routine maintenance, a soft brush and diluted stone-safe cleaner will remove algae, mineral scale, and debris without damaging the honed surface. Address any calcium or mineral buildup with a stone-safe descaler rather than abrasive tools.

Installation: Use a white or gray polymer-modified thinset appropriate for submerged stone tile applications; verify your adhesive is rated for pool and continuously wet environments. Back-butter each tile fully to eliminate voids, which can cause cracking under water pressure. Use a non-sanded or pool-rated sanded grout depending on joint size, and ensure all joints are fully filled and sealed. Allow full cure time before filling the pool with water — consult your thinset and grout manufacturer for recommended cure schedules in submerged applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
