Kawa Summer Blue is a glazed porcelain pool tile designed to bring the calming, luminous quality of open water to residential and commercial aquatic environments. Its vivid yet refined summer-blue glaze is engineered to retain color depth whether viewed above or below the waterline.

The 6×6 inch square format offers a straightforward straight-set installation pattern that works on both flat and curved pool surfaces. The satin-glaze finish is slip-resistant when wet and provides excellent resistance to pool chemicals, UV exposure, and freeze-thaw cycling.

Ideal for pool waterlines, full pool interiors, spa walls, and water-feature surrounds, this tile is rated for submerged aquatic use. Sealing: Glazed porcelain does not require sealing. The vitrified glaze provides a permanent, non-porous surface that is inherently waterproof and stain-resistant. No sealer application is needed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral tile cleaner or a diluted pool-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh acidic or highly alkaline chemicals that can dull or etch the glaze over time. For calcium or mineral deposits at the waterline, use a dedicated calcium remover formulated for glazed pool tile and rinse thoroughly.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar rated for submerged pool applications (ANSI A118.4 or better). Apply grout with a non-sanded or fine-sanded pool-rated grout depending on joint width. Ensure all tiles are back-buttered for full coverage (95% minimum) to prevent water infiltration behind the tile. Allow full cure before filling the pool.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.
  • Scheduled appointment. The freight company contacts you directly to arrange a delivery window.

Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
