This mosaic blends two distinct natural stones: a deep charcoal-black marble with a fine wood-grain linear texture, and creamy white Dolomite, a dense crystalline carbonate stone prized for its bright, luminous surface and subtle grey veining. The Black Wood marble originates from quarries in Asia and displays tight, parallel striations that evoke the grain of dark-stained timber, while the Dolomite contributes a soft, almost chalk-white contrast that brightens the overall palette. Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Both the Black marble and Dolomite components are porous natural stones and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer rated for natural stone; in wet areas such as showers, reseal every 12 months. The bright Dolomite chips are particularly susceptible to staining and should never be left unsealed.

Cleaning: Use only pH-neutral stone cleaners — never vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acid-based product, as these will etch the polished surfaces of both the Dolomite and the Black marble and permanently dull their finish. Wipe spills immediately, especially oils and colored liquids, and avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can scratch the polished faces.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey thinset color from telegraphing through the lighter Dolomite chips. Apply non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch to avoid scratching the polished stone faces. Back-butter the mesh sheet in addition to combing the substrate for full coverage, and align sheet edges carefully before pressing to maintain consistent joint lines across the installation.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
