Sealing: Mont Blanc Serena, like all white and light-toned marbles, is porous and highly susceptible to staining. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again immediately after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reseal every 6–12 months; on kitchen floors or walls, resealing annually or biannually is recommended. Always test an inconspicuous area to confirm sealer compatibility.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or a few drops of dish soap diluted in warm water — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaner, as these will etch the honed surface and cause permanent dullness. The matte honed finish is more forgiving of water spots and fingerprints than polished marble, but it can still be scratched by abrasive scrubbing pads; always use a soft cloth or sponge. Blot spills immediately, especially coffee, wine, and citrus, to prevent deep staining.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey show-through on this pale stone — grey thinset can telegraph through lighter marble tiles. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate for full adhesion and to prevent hollow spots. Allow at least 1/16-inch grout joints; use an unsanded or fine-sanded grout matched to your desired joint color. Ensure the substrate is level and deflection-free, particularly for floor installations. Let thinset cure fully (minimum 24–48 hours) before grouting or applying sealer.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
