Sealing: Recycled glass tile is non-porous and does not require sealing. However, the grout joints should be sealed with a penetrating grout sealer upon installation and re-sealed annually in wet areas such as showers to prevent staining and moisture infiltration.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral, non-abrasive glass cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products) and abrasive scrubbing pads, which can dull the polished glass surface and erode grout joints over time. For hard water deposits, use a calcium and lime remover formulated safe for glass.

Installation: Install using white polymer-modified thinset mortar to preserve the translucency of the glass chips — gray or dark thinset can show through and alter the tile's color appearance. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch. Align mesh sheets carefully at the herringbone seams before pressing into mortar, and use a grout float at a low angle to avoid scratching the glass surface. Allow full mortar cure before grouting.

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
