Noce Travertine Wavy Mosaic2 × 4 Wavy Honed

Walnut-brown travertine cut into 2 × 4 wavy chips, honed to a smooth matte finish and set on a mesh-backed sheet.

Noce travertine runs through walnut brown, caramel and golden tan. The honed face is smooth and matte, so the natural pits and tonal shifts show without any gloss. Each chip has a gentle wave, which catches light at different angles across the wall.

The chips are pre-arranged in a staggered brick pattern on a mesh-backed sheet. That makes a textured wall faster to set than individual tiles. It suits backsplashes, bath walls and feature walls where you want warmth and relief.

Travertine varies from chip to chip and sheet to sheet, and this mosaic is rated V3, moderate variation. Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Future lots may look lighter, darker, or more veined, so order your full quantity plus 10% at once to keep the whole job from one lot.

Where It Works

  • Kitchen backsplashThe wavy chips add texture behind a counter, and the brown tones sit well with wood and stone.
  • Bathroom feature wallA honed, dimensional wall behind a vanity or tub. Seal it before grouting.
  • Accent wallWorks as a single textured surface in a living space, hallway or entry.
  • Powder room wallA small, low-splash room is a good setting for a sculpted wall.
  • FloorsThe wavy chip edges are not recommended for foot traffic.
  • Outdoor and pool areasNot recommended. Suitability for exteriors and wet exposure is not confirmed.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Travertine is porous. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again after installation. Reseal about every 12 months in dry areas and every 6 months in wet areas.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in water, and a damp microfiber cloth for daily care. Avoid vinegar, lemon, bleach and other acidic or harsh cleaners. Blot spills quickly.

Expect This

Natural pits, pores and veining are part of the stone. Color varies from chip to chip. Use white or beige thinset so dark adhesive does not show through the pores.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Will my order look like the sample?

Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Future lots may look lighter, darker, or more veined, so order your full quantity plus 10% at once to keep the whole job from one lot.

How much is a sample and when does it ship?

Samples are $7.99 each, and you can order up to 10 per order. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days.

Does it need sealing?

Seal it before grouting and again after installation with a penetrating stone sealer. This helps protect the honed surface from oils and moisture. Reseal on a regular schedule, more often in wet areas.

Can I use it on a floor?

Use it on indoor walls and backsplashes, where the wavy chips show best. The wavy chip edges are not recommended for foot traffic, so a flat tile is the better choice underfoot.

How is it sold and installed?

It is sold per sheet. The chips come pre-arranged on a mesh backing, so you set a full sheet at a time. Press each sheet firmly into white or beige thinset.

Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

Good to Know

  • Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.
