The Royal Garden 1×6 Bullnose Glossy Porcelain Liner is a glazed porcelain trim piece designed to deliver a clean, polished finish at tile edges, borders, and transitions. Its high-gloss ceramic surface offers a bright, light-reflective quality that elevates the overall look of any tile installation.

The factory-rounded bullnose edge eliminates exposed raw tile cuts, providing a smooth and professional terminus to backsplashes, shower walls, and wainscoting. The slim 1×6 format installs quickly as a single finishing course and can be used horizontally as a liner accent band or vertically as a side cap.

Ideal for kitchen backsplashes, bathroom shower surrounds, and laundry room walls, this liner is rated for indoor wall use and pairs with a wide variety of field tiles. 30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Sealing: Glazed porcelain does not require sealing — the vitrified glaze is non-porous and impervious to moisture. Grout joints in wet areas such as showers should be sealed annually with a penetrating grout sealer to prevent staining.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral tile cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive scrub pads or powders that can scratch or dull the high-gloss surface. Acidic or bleach-based cleaners should be avoided as they can degrade grout and potentially affect the glaze over time.

Installation: Install with white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on this light-colored gloss piece. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch. Ensure the wall substrate is flat and plumb before installation — the glossy surface will visually amplify any lippage or misalignment. Back-butter each piece for full coverage adhesion.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
