Sealing: Seagrass Limestone must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as bathrooms or exterior patios exposed to rain and organic debris, re-seal every 12 to 18 months to protect the porous surface from staining and moisture absorption. The warm, earthy tones of this stone can be particularly susceptible to oil- and food-based staining in kitchen environments.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap or mild stone cleaner diluted in water — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, as limestone is highly reactive to acids and will etch or dull permanently. Avoid abrasive scrub pads on the tumbled surface. Blot spills immediately rather than wiping to prevent spreading.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on lighter tile faces. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage across the 12×12 format. Use sanded grout for joints wider than 1/8 inch, which is typical with tumbled tile. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting, and confirm the substrate is clean, flat, and free of flex before laying stone tile on floors.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
