Sealing: Seagrass Limestone is a porous sedimentary stone and must be sealed before installation and grouting. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer and reapply every 12–18 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. A topical or enhancing sealer can be used to deepen the stone's natural color tones if desired.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as acidic products will etch and damage limestone surfaces. For the brushed finish, a soft-bristle brush can be used to gently clean the textured surface without scratching. Wipe up spills promptly, especially acidic liquids such as wine, juice, or coffee.

Installation: Use a white or light gray polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any bleed-through on the stone's pale, porous face. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots, especially important for large-format tiles. Use a 1/2-inch notched trowel and ensure the substrate is flat to within 1/8 inch over 10 feet. Allow a minimum 3/16-inch grout joint and use a sanded grout matched to the stone's earth tones.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
