A slim glazed ceramic pencil bullnose that caps tile edges with a clean, rounded finish.

The Silk Gure pencil bullnose is a narrow, rounded trim piece in glazed ceramic. It finishes the exposed edge of wall tile, so you don't need a metal profile or a cut edge. Use it to frame a shower niche, cap wainscoting or edge a backsplash.

Glaze can vary slightly between production runs, and this trim carries a V2 slight shade variation. A sample lets you check color and glaze beside your field tile and fixtures. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

The glazed surface does not need sealing. Seal grout joints in wet areas such as showers when you install, then reseal them yearly.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral tile cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Avoid acidic or alkaline cleaners, bleach and abrasive pads, which can dull the glaze. Wipe dry in wet areas.

Expect This

Glaze can shift slightly between production runs. Set the trim in white thinset so grey mortar doesn't show through the glaze, and back-butter each piece.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Can I use this trim in a shower?

Yes. Use it to frame a shower niche or finish the edge of a shower wall. Keep it on walls, because the pencil profile is not meant for floors.

Will my order look like the sample?

Your sample shows the color and glaze of the stock we have now. This trim has a V2 slight shade variation, and glaze can vary between production runs. Order your full quantity at once, plus 10% for cuts and waste.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
