The Soho Grey 3×12 Bullnose is a precision-crafted satin matte porcelain trim tile designed to provide clean, finished edges wherever field tile meets an exposed surface. Its cool grey body with subtle warm undertones brings a refined, concrete-inspired aesthetic to kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.

The satin matte finish diffuses light gently, eliminating glare while maintaining a smooth, wipeable surface that is far more practical in wet environments than a high-gloss glaze. The bullnose profile — a single rounded finished edge — creates professional, seamless transitions at shelf edges, backsplash terminations, and shower entry points without the need for metal trim profiles.

This tile is ideal for use as an edge trim in residential showers, bathroom wainscoting, and kitchen backsplashes wherever a polished perimeter is desired. It is sold per piece, so we recommend calculating your linear footage carefully before ordering; ordering a few extra pieces to account for cuts is always advised.

Sealing: Porcelain is a non-porous material and does not require sealing. The grout joints, however, should be sealed with a penetrating grout sealer upon installation and reapplied annually in high-moisture areas such as showers.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral tile cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Avoid bleach-based or acidic cleaners, which can dull the satin matte glaze over time. The matte finish is more prone to showing soap scum buildup than polished surfaces, so regular wiping after use in wet areas is recommended.

Installation: Use a white or light grey polymer-modified thinset adhesive to prevent any bleed-through on the light grey body. Ensure the bullnose edge faces outward and is fully supported — back-butter each piece before pressing to ensure full coverage, especially at the rounded edge. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch and sanded grout for larger joints. Align grout joints with adjacent field tile for a seamless appearance.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
