Thassos White marble in 1×2 honed chips, pre-set in a herringbone pattern for a bright, matte surface with quiet movement.

Small 1×2 inch marble chips come pre-set in a herringbone pattern on a 12 × 12 inch mesh-backed sheet. The zigzag rows add direction and movement, while the near-white surface stays calm.

Thassos White is a pure white marble with a fine crystalline texture and very little veining. The honed finish keeps it matte and soft to the eye. It suits kitchen backsplashes, bath walls and powder room feature walls.

Expect slight tonal shifts from chip to chip. A $7.99 sample lets you see it in your own light. Samples ship free. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal before grouting and again after installation with a penetrating stone sealer. In wet areas, reseal every 6–12 months. An absorbency test shows when it is time.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Avoid vinegar, citrus, bleach and other acidic or alkaline cleaners, which can etch the honed surface.

Expect This

Honed white marble shows stains readily, so wipe up oil, coffee and colored liquids quickly. Slight tone shifts from chip to chip are part of natural stone.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

How do samples work?

You can order up to 10 samples per order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1–3 business days.

Can I use this in a shower?

Shower walls are a good fit once the stone is sealed before and after grouting. For a shower floor, check with us first, since we have not confirmed that use for this mosaic.

What thinset and grout should I use?

Bright white polymer-modified thinset keeps the white chips clean in tone, since gray thinset can show through as a grayish cast. Non-sanded grout suits the tight joints and protects the honed surface.

Does this mosaic need sealing?

Sealing protects the stone from moisture and stains, and it is recommended before grouting and again after installation. Reseal wet areas every 6–12 months.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
