Sealing: Thassos White, being a very pure and porous white marble, should be sealed with a premium penetrating stone sealer before grouting and upon installation. In wet areas such as showers, reseal every 6–12 months to prevent moisture absorption, staining, and discoloration. The bright white surface shows staining more readily than darker stones, so diligent sealing is especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline household cleaners, as these will etch and dull the honed surface permanently. Wipe up spills promptly, particularly oils, wine, and coffee, which can penetrate and stain the white stone quickly.

Installation: Always use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray show-through on this ultra-white stone. Use non-sanded grout for the narrow joints between 1×2 chips to avoid scratching the honed surface. Align mesh sheets carefully during installation, pressing the full sheet evenly into the mortar bed; back-butter individual chips as needed to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
