Sealing: Thassos White is a highly porous, exceptionally white marble that requires thorough sealing before grouting and after installation. Apply a penetrating stone sealer rated for white marble and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers. Because the stone is so white, any unsealed exposure to colored grout, oils, or minerals can cause permanent staining.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, or citrus-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and dull the polished surface. Wipe up spills immediately, particularly anything acidic or pigmented, to prevent staining or etching on this pristine white surface.

Installation: Always use white polymer-modified thinset mortar — gray thinset can telegraph color through the translucent stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch and a grout color close to pure white to preserve the seamless, bright aesthetic.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
