Sealing: Thassos White marble must be sealed before grouting and after installation with a high-quality penetrating stone sealer. Because of its exceptional whiteness and porosity, sealing is critical — any staining agent (coffee, wine, colored grout haze) can be very visible. Re-seal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers, and annually in lower-traffic areas.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap or mild stone cleaner diluted in warm water. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products) or abrasive scrubbers, as they will etch and dull the polished surface. Wipe spills immediately, especially anything acidic or pigmented, as polished Thassos is highly susceptible to etching and discoloration.

Installation: Always use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar — gray thinset can telegraph through Thassos and alter its appearance. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full, void-free coverage. Use non-sanded or fine-sanded grout in a matching white tone; select your grout color carefully as it will be highly visible against the white stone.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
