Sealing: Thassos White is an extremely pure, low-density marble that is highly absorbent and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as shower floors and bathroom floors. Because of its pure white color, Thassos shows staining from grout haze, colored soaps, and minerals more readily than darker stones — diligent sealing is essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, ammonia, or any acidic or alkaline cleaner, as these will etch and dull the polished surface permanently. Wipe spills immediately, especially colored liquids such as coffee, wine, or dyed toiletry products. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the polished Thassos surface.

Installation: Use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar — never grey thinset, which can bleed through the porous Thassos and discolor the white stone permanently. Install mesh-backed sheets face-up, aligning grout joints between sheets carefully for a seamless pattern flow. Use non-sanded grout for the fine joints around dots and octagon chips, and select a white or light grey grout to preserve the clean, bright aesthetic. Back-butter individual sheets for improved adhesion on floor applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
