Sealing: Thassos White is a dense but highly porous white marble that shows staining very readily due to its pure white color. Seal this trim piece with a premium penetrating stone sealer before installation and reapply every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and tub surrounds to protect against soap scum, mineral deposits, and discoloration.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth only — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and permanently dull the polished surface. The high-gloss finish on Thassos is particularly susceptible to etching from even mild acids, so wipe up spills immediately.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray or pigmented adhesive from telegraphing through the bright white stone. Secure trim pieces with a full back-butter application to eliminate voids, and use non-sanded grout in joints adjacent to this molding. Allow thinset to cure fully (minimum 24–48 hours) before grouting or exposing to water.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
