Sealing: Dolomite, like marble, is a porous carbonate stone that requires sealing before grouting and use. Apply a high-quality penetrating stone sealer before installation and reseal every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. The bright white tone of this stone makes stain prevention especially critical — do not skip or delay sealing.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop; never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, as dolomite is highly susceptible to etching from acidic contact. The polished finish will show water spots and soap residue more readily than a honed finish — wipe dry after each use in wet areas to maintain the mirror-like sheen.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on the bright white stone surface. For the narrow joints typical of a basketweave mosaic, use non-sanded (unsanded) grout to prevent scratching the polished chips. Lay mesh-backed sheets face-up, aligning sheet edges carefully for consistent joint spacing; back-butter each sheet lightly in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate for full coverage and a secure bond.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. In-stock orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Most tile and stone orders ship via scheduled LTL freight and typically arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on your destination. You'll receive tracking and carrier details by email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.
  • Scheduled appointment. The freight company contacts you directly to arrange a delivery window.
  • Signature required. An adult (18+) must be present to inspect and sign for the shipment.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
