Sealing: Crema Perlino limestone is a porous stone and must be sealed before installation and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating, impregnating stone sealer prior to grouting, and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers. The light cream tones are particularly susceptible to staining from oils, soaps, and organic matter, so thorough sealing is essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Avoid all acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based), alkaline degreasers, and abrasive scrubbing pads, as limestone is acid-sensitive and will etch or dull with exposure to acidic substances. Wipe spills — especially red wine, coffee, and citrus juice — immediately to prevent absorption.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on the light-colored stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage on this large-format tile. Use tile leveling clips during installation. A non-sanded or fine-sanded grout in an ivory or warm white tone is recommended to complement the pinstripe detail without competing visually.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
