Crema Perlino Limestone

Crema Perlino Limestone is a European natural stone featuring soft cream and warm beige tones with subtle natural variation. Explore Crema Perlino Limestone tiles for bathrooms, showers, floors, walls, backsplashes, and elegant interior spaces.

About Crema Perlino Limestone 2×2 Hexagon Honed Mosaic

Material Education

Crema Perlino is a fine-grained limestone quarried in southern Europe, prized for its warm creamy beige tones interwoven with soft ivory and delicate taupe veining. Its subtle, almost powdery surface texture gives it a refined matte elegance that sets it apart from brighter white marbles. The stone's consistent warm neutral palette makes it one of the most versatile natural stones available for residential and commercial interiors.

As a product of nature, each tile will exhibit slight differences in shade, fossil detail, and veining — qualities that are the hallmark of authentic limestone and contribute to a richly organic, handcrafted aesthetic.

About this mosaic: Small 2×2 hexagon chips are pre-mounted on a mesh-backed sheet, allowing for rapid and consistent installation across large surfaces. The sheet format eliminates the need to place individual tiles, dramatically reducing labor time while maintaining precise geometric spacing.

Design & Inspiration

Crema Perlino's warm sand-and-ivory palette pairs beautifully with brushed brass or matte black fixtures, white oak cabinetry, and soft linen textiles, fitting seamlessly into modern organic, Mediterranean, transitional, and spa-inspired interiors. Its earthy warmth reads as effortlessly sophisticated in both minimalist and layered, collected spaces.

The 2×2 hexagon format brings a geometric playfulness that is softened by the stone's muted, natural tones — creating visual interest without overwhelming a space. This scale is especially effective on bathroom floors and feature walls, where the honeycomb pattern adds texture and depth while the honed finish keeps the look grounded and understated.

Popular design combinations: pair this mosaic floor with large-format honed Crema Perlino field tiles on the walls and brushed brass fixtures for a cohesive, warm spa bathroom. Crema Perlino is a warm, fine-grained limestone sourced from southern Europe, celebrated for its creamy beige and ivory tones accented by soft taupe veining and occasional fossil inclusions. Its approachable, neutral character makes it an enduring choice for designers seeking a natural stone that feels both timeless and inviting.

The honed finish delivers a smooth, matte surface that diffuses light gently and resists the appearance of water spots and fingerprints — a practical advantage over polished stone in wet environments. Pre-mounted on a mesh backing in a classic hexagon pattern, each sheet installs quickly and aligns effortlessly, making this mosaic accessible for both professional installers and skilled DIYers.

This mosaic is ideally suited for bathroom floors, shower floors, and spa-style accent walls where its warm tones and tactile surface create a serene, grounded atmosphere. As a clearance or special-order product, sampling before committing to a full order is strongly recommended to confirm shade compatibility with your specific project materials.

Free Shipping: As a mosaic, this product qualifies for free curbside shipping on orders over $1,999 within the continental U.S. Orders below that threshold ship at standard rates calculated at checkout.

Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Crema Perlino limestone is a porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a high-quality penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as shower floors. Pale warm-toned limestone is particularly susceptible to staining from oils, wine, and grout haze, so sealing is non-negotiable.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Never use acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon-based products, or tile grout removers containing acid — limestone will etch and dull permanently on contact. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the honed surface. Blot spills immediately rather than wiping to prevent spreading.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on pale stone. For small 2×2 hexagon mosaics, a non-sanded grout with a joint width of 1/16″ to 1/8″ is recommended. Back-butter each mesh sheet lightly in addition to combing the substrate for full coverage. Align mesh sheets carefully during installation and press firmly with a grout float to ensure level embedding. Allow full cure before grouting.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order 10% overage for cuts, waste, and future repairs. Tile & Mosaic Depot specialists are available M–F 8:30AM–5PM PST at 855-797-8453.

Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

Good to Know

  • Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.
  • Larger or custom quantity? Contact us for a tailored quote.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.

California Proposition 65
