Slender 1×4 Carrara marble pieces set in a herringbone pattern on a mesh-backed sheet, finished with a soft, matte hone.

White Carrara marble has a soft white to light grey ground with feathery grey veining. The honed finish keeps the surface matte and velvety. The look is quiet and easy to live with, in modern and traditional rooms alike.

Each sheet arranges 1×4-inch rectangles in a herringbone pattern on a mesh backing, which helps keep joint spacing consistent. The zigzag adds movement without busy color. Use it for a kitchen backsplash, a shower wall, a tub surround or a niche.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal before grouting and again after installation with a penetrating stone sealer made for honed marble. In wet areas such as showers, reapply every 6–12 months.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaner in warm water. Wipe spills promptly. Avoid vinegar, lemon, bleach and abrasive pads, which can etch or scratch the honed surface.

Expect This

Marble is natural, so veining and tone vary from piece to piece. Pale honed stone can show stains and etching more readily, so keep up with sealing.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Can I use this mosaic in a shower?

Yes, it suits shower walls, tub surrounds, backsplashes and indoor accent walls. Seal it before grouting and after installation. For floors, including shower floors, choose a different product, since small chips and many grout joints are not suited to floor traffic.

Will my order match the sample?

Does honed Carrara need sealing?

Sealing is recommended and protects the stone from stains. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and after installation. In showers, plan to reapply every 6–12 months.

What thinset should I use?

Use a white polymer-modified thinset, which helps keep grey from showing through the pale stone. Press the mesh sheets firmly into the mortar and keep joint spacing consistent.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
