About Keraben Ardennes Century Honed Wood Look Tile

Material Education

The Keraben Ardennes Century is a high-quality porcelain tile engineered to faithfully replicate the warm, organic appearance of natural wood. Crafted using advanced digital printing technology, it captures the linear grain, subtle knots, and tonal depth of aged timber in a durable, low-maintenance ceramic format. The honed matte surface enhances the wood-like realism while providing a slip-resistant, understated finish.

As with digitally printed porcelain collections, slight tonal shifts between planks are intentional and reflect the authentic variation found in real wood — contributing to a natural, lived-in aesthetic.

About this tile: This 10×40 cm plank-format tile is sized to mimic narrow hardwood boards, making it ideal for creating classic or contemporary linear floor and wall arrangements. The consistent plank proportions allow for straight, staggered, or herringbone layouts depending on the desired effect.

Design & Inspiration

The Ardennes Century palette features warm earthy tones — sandy beiges, soft grays, and muted browns — that pair beautifully with brushed brass fixtures, white oak cabinetry, linen textiles, and warm concrete accents. It suits a wide range of interior styles including Scandinavian minimalism, transitional, rustic farmhouse, and contemporary living spaces.

The narrow plank format creates a sense of elongation in rooms, making it especially effective in hallways, kitchens, and open-plan living areas. Laid in a herringbone or offset brick pattern, the tile adds visual rhythm and texture without overwhelming the space.

Popular design combinations: pair with matte white subway tile walls and brushed gold fixtures for a warm, modern kitchen aesthetic. Explore the full Porcelain Tile Collection for coordinating sizes, and browse more Wood Look Porcelain Tile for complementary looks.

The Keraben Ardennes Century is a porcelain wood-look tile that brings the warmth and character of natural timber to any interior without the maintenance demands of real hardwood. Produced by the renowned Spanish manufacturer Keraben, this tile features advanced digital imaging that replicates authentic wood grain, subtle knots, and natural tonal variation with striking realism.

Finished with a smooth honed matte surface, the 10×40 cm plank format is versatile and easy to install in straight-lay, staggered, or decorative herringbone patterns. The matte finish reduces glare, hides everyday scuffs and dust, and provides a comfortable underfoot texture suitable for both floor and wall applications.

Ideal for residential and light commercial spaces including living rooms, hallways, kitchens, and bathrooms, this tile delivers the timeless aesthetic of wood with the durability and water resistance of porcelain. As a clearance or special-order item, we recommend ordering a sample before committing to a full purchase and adding 10–15% overage to account for cuts and future replacements.

Free Shipping: This product ships at standard freight rates calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Porcelain tile is non-porous and does not require sealing. However, if unsanded or epoxy grout joints are used, sealing the grout lines annually in wet areas such as bathrooms is recommended to prevent discoloration.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral tile cleaner and a damp mop or soft cloth. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners that can dull the matte finish over time. For everyday maintenance, a dry microfiber mop effectively removes dust and light debris without streaking.

Installation: Use a large-format tile adhesive and back-butter each tile to ensure full coverage, especially important for floor applications. For a herringbone layout, dry-lay the pattern first to confirm alignment. Use a 2–3 mm spacer for consistent grout joints and a non-sanded or fine-grain grout suited to the joint width. Ensure the subfloor is level to prevent lippage across plank edges.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order 10% overage for cuts, waste, and future repairs. Tile & Mosaic Depot specialists are available M–F 8:30AM–5PM PST at 855-797-8453.

Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

Good to Know

  • Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.
  • Larger or custom quantity? Contact us for a tailored quote.

Talk to a Specialist
Our stone and tile specialists will help you narrow it down. Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5 PM PT.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.

California Proposition 65
