30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Sealing: Pietra Gray, despite its dark color, is a porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as showers. Dark stones can show water spotting and soap residue on a polished surface, making regular sealing essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, which will etch and dull the polished surface. Dry the surface after cleaning to prevent hard water deposits, which show prominently on dark polished stone. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can scratch the gloss finish.

Installation: Use a white or gray polymer-modified thinset mortar appropriate for natural stone — avoid dark thinsets that may bleed through grout joints. For this small-chip mosaic, use non-sanded grout in joints under 1/8 inch. Align mesh sheets carefully during installation to maintain consistent joint lines across sheets. Back-butter each sheet lightly in addition to the substrate for full adhesion coverage.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
