Honed Carrara marble chips set in a chevron pattern on a 10.75 × 11 inch sheet, white with soft grey veining.

White Carrara marble in a soft white with grey veining, cut into narrow chevron chips and mounted on a mesh-backed sheet. The honed finish is smooth and matte, so light reads soft rather than glossy. Chips measure about 1 × 2 inches.

The V-shaped pattern comes pre-arranged, which keeps the layout consistent from sheet to sheet. It suits a kitchen backsplash, a bath wall or a powder room accent. Honed marble is more absorbent than polished, so sealing is recommended.

Veining and tone vary from piece to piece. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before installation. Honed marble is more absorbent than polished. Reseal as needed, more often in wet areas.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid vinegar, lemon, bleach and other acidic or alkaline cleaners, which can etch the honed surface. Wipe spills promptly.

Expect This

Color, veining and texture vary between pieces. That is normal for natural stone. Order 10% extra for cuts and overage.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

How do I order a sample?

Add up to 10 samples to one order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days.

What size is the sheet and the chips?

Each sheet measures 10.75 × 11 inches, with chips of about 1 × 2 inches arranged in a chevron on a mesh backing. It is sold per sheet.

Does this marble need sealing?

You can seal it with a penetrating stone sealer before installation to help guard against staining from soaps, oils and hard water. Sealing is recommended because the honed finish is more absorbent than polished marble.

What thinset and grout should I use?

Use a white polymer-modified thinset to limit show-through on light marble, with non-sanded grout for the tight joints typical of mosaics. Back-butter the chips where the substrate is uneven.

Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
