Myra Limestone is a warm, striated natural stone from the ancient sedimentary formations of the Mediterranean region, celebrated for its golden beige and walnut brown tones interlaced with dramatic linear grain patterns. The 12×24 tile format offers a long, modern proportion that works beautifully in both traditional and contemporary settings.

Each tile is finished with a chiseled surface treatment that brings the natural striations to life with tactile texture and rustic depth. This finish scatters light across the surface in a way that polished or honed finishes cannot, giving walls and floors an organic, hand-crafted quality. The large format also reduces grout lines, lending a cleaner, more expansive look to any installation.

Myra Limestone 12×24 chiseled tiles are ideal for bathroom floors, shower walls, outdoor patios, and fireplace surrounds where a warm, natural aesthetic is desired. Sealing: Myra Limestone must be sealed before installation and grouting, and resealed every 12–18 months in wet areas such as showers and bathrooms. The porous nature of limestone makes it particularly susceptible to staining from water, oils, and cleaning products; a penetrating impregnating sealer is strongly recommended. In lower-traffic or dry applications, resealing every 2–3 years is typically sufficient.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products) or alkaline degreasers, as limestone is highly sensitive to acid etching. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads on the chiseled surface, as they can dislodge fine stone particles. Wipe up spills promptly, especially acids like wine, juice, or coffee.

Installation: Use a white or gray polymer-modified thinset mortar appropriate for large-format natural stone tiles. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots, which is especially important with 12×24 format tiles. Use tile leveling clips to maintain consistent plane across the chiseled surface, and allow adequate cure time before grouting. A sanded grout with a joint width of at least 3/16 inch is recommended to accommodate the natural variation in tile edges.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
