Sealing: Calacatta Gold is a light, porous marble that must be sealed before grouting and before first use. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as showers. The bright white background can show staining from oils and colored liquids if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers — these will etch the polished surface and permanently dull the finish. Wipe spills immediately, especially coffee, wine, and oils, as the light stone can absorb stains quickly.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through on the light stone. Back-butter each tile for full coverage and to ensure the beveled edges are properly supported. Allow for a 1/16" grout joint minimum; use an unsanded or fine-grain sanded grout in a tone that complements the gold veining. Seal the grout joints as well as the tile surface before use.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
