Sealing: Honed Calacatta Gold marble is more porous than its polished counterpart and requires thorough sealing before installation, especially in wet areas such as showers. Apply a penetrating stone sealer to all surfaces and edges, and reseal every 6–12 months in high-moisture environments. Pay special attention to the bullnose edge, which may be more exposed to water contact.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based), alkaline degreasers, or bleach, as these will etch and dull the honed marble surface. Wipe up spills — especially oils, coffee, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads, which can scratch the honed finish.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through behind the bright white marble. Because this is a trim piece with a finished bullnose edge, take care not to chip the rounded profile during cutting — score and snap or use a wet saw with a fine blade. Grout joints adjacent to this liner should be filled with unsanded grout in a matching tone. Back-butter each piece to ensure full adhesion coverage.

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
