Sealing: Calacatta Gold marble must be sealed before installation and before grouting. In wet areas such as showers, reapply a penetrating stone sealer every 6–12 months. For dry applications like feature walls, annual sealing is sufficient. The white background of Calacatta Gold is especially susceptible to staining from oils, red wine, and coffee — consistent sealing is critical.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water; rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, ammonia-based cleaners, or abrasive scrubbers — acidic or harsh products will etch the honed surface and dull its finish permanently. Wipe spills immediately, especially oils and acidic liquids.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on the pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to troweling the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage on the large 12×24 format. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch or sanded grout for wider joints; select a warm white or cream grout to complement the stone's palette. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
