Sealing: Calacatta Gold is a porous white marble that must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a high-quality penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 6–12 months in bathrooms or kitchens, and annually in lower-use areas. Consistent sealing is critical to prevent staining from oils, coffee, wine, and hard water on this pale stone.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop — never use vinegar, lemon, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, as these will etch the polished surface and dull its sheen permanently. Wipe up spills immediately, especially acidic substances like citrus juice or wine, as the polished finish is particularly vulnerable to etching.

Installation: Use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on this pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage on the large 18×18 format. Use a matching white unsanded or fine-sanded grout at 1/16"–1/8" joints, and allow the stone to acclimate to the room temperature before installation.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
