Sealing: Calacatta Gold marble must be sealed before grouting and after installation with a high-quality penetrating stone sealer. In wet areas such as showers and backsplashes, reseal every 6–12 months to protect the porous stone from moisture infiltration and staining. Given its bright white background, diligent sealing is especially critical to prevent oil, wine, and hard-water deposits from permanently discoloring the surface.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, as these will etch and dull the polished surface irreversibly. Wipe spills immediately, particularly acidic substances like citrus, coffee, and wine, as the polished finish on white marble is especially vulnerable to etching and spotting.

Installation: Use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray show-through on this pale, translucent marble. Apply non-sanded grout for the fine joints between strip pieces to prevent scratching the polished faces. Lay the mesh-backed sheets face-up, press firmly and evenly with a grout float or rubber mallet, and check for lippage across sheet seams before the thinset sets. Back-butter individual sheets in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate for maximum bond on wall applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
