A bright white marble with soft grey veining, offered as a slim 2 × 8 polished subway tile.

Bianco Dolomite is a white marble with a milky ground and fine grey veining that runs in soft, feathery streaks. The polished face reflects light and sharpens the veining. The tone reads cool and clean, with the occasional warmer cream shift.

The 2 × 8 is a classic subway proportion. Stack it vertically to draw the eye up, or set it in an offset brick pattern on a backsplash or bath wall. Polished marble etches on contact with acids, so seal it and clean it with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again after installation. The pale tone shows stains easily, so keep up with resealing.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth. Skip vinegar, lemon, bleach and abrasive cleaners. Wipe spills quickly, especially oil, wine and citrus.

Expect This

Acids can etch polished marble and leave dull spots. Veining and tone vary from tile to tile, so mix tiles from several boxes as you lay them.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Where can I use this tile?

Use it on indoor walls, backsplashes and vanity surrounds, where the polished finish shows best. Polished marble can be slippery when wet, so we suggest a different tile for floors.

Does it need sealing?

Seal it with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again after installation. Marble is porous and the white tone shows stains, so sealing protects the surface.

What thinset should I use?

Use a white polymer-modified thinset, which keeps grey from showing through the pale stone. Your installer can choose the grout and joint width.

How do samples work?

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
