A white marble with sweeping gold and taupe veins, cut in a square 12 × 12 format with a polished face.

Calacatta Gold is a white marble with sweeping veins in gold, amber and soft taupe. This 12 × 12 tile gives each piece room to show a broad stretch of that veining, with fewer grout lines than a mosaic or smaller format.

The polished face deepens the white ground and adds a reflective sheen. The square format suits indoor walls, backsplashes and low-traffic floors, and it installs in straight-set or diagonal layouts.

Pieces range from nearly clear white to heavily veined, which fits a V3 moderate variation rating. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again before first use. The white ground shows stains easily if left unsealed.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Wipe spills such as wine, coffee and citrus right away. Skip vinegar, lemon, bleach, ammonia and abrasive scrubbers.

Expect This

Polished marble can etch when it meets acids, which dulls the gloss in that spot. Veining and color differ from tile to tile, as expected with natural stone.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Will my order look like the sample?

Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Future lots may look lighter, darker, or more veined, so order your full quantity plus 10% at once to keep the whole job from one lot.

How much should I order?

Each tile covers 1 sq ft, so your square footage is your tile count. Add 10% for cuts and ordering everything at once keeps the job in one lot. The tile is sold per sq ft.

Does this tile need to be sealed?

Seal it with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and before first use. That protects the white ground from staining. Polished marble can still etch from acids, so wipe spills promptly.

What thinset should I use?

Choose a white polymer-modified thinset so gray mortar does not show through the white stone. Back-butter each tile and keep grout joints between 1/16" and 1/8". Your installer should confirm the details for your substrate.

How do I order a sample?

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
