Sealing: Porcelain is non-porous and does not require sealing — a significant advantage over natural stone. No sealing maintenance is needed at any point during the tile's lifespan.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone and tile cleaner or a mild dish soap diluted in warm water. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbing pads, which can dull the polished surface over time. The high-gloss finish may show water spots and fingerprints more readily — a microfiber mop or cloth is recommended for streak-free results.

Installation: Use a large-format tile trowel (1/2" × 1/2" square-notch or larger) and back-butter each tile to ensure full adhesive coverage and prevent lippage. A grey or charcoal unsanded or epoxy grout will complement the deep black body and minimize joint visibility. Offset the tiles by 33% rather than 50% to reduce the risk of lippage across the long edge. Ensure the substrate is flat to within 1/8" over 10 feet before installation.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
