Sealing: Calacatta Gold marble is a porous white stone that requires thorough sealing before and after installation. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer to all exposed faces and re-seal every 12 months in interior applications, or every 6 months in high-humidity or exterior environments. The hand-split textured surface has greater porosity than a polished tile and should be sealed with extra care, working the sealer into all crevices.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and discolor the marble. For the textured split-face surface, use a soft-bristle brush to remove dust and debris from recessed areas. Wipe spills immediately, especially oils, wine, or acidic liquids, which can penetrate the stone rapidly on an unsealed or lightly sealed surface.

Installation: Always use white polymer-modified thinset mortar when installing Calacatta Gold to prevent gray bleed-through on this pale stone. Back-butter each corner piece thoroughly and press firmly to ensure full coverage given the irregular split-face profile. Install flat ledger field panels first to establish your coursing lines, then fit corner pieces to wrap outside edges — the interlocking finger-joint design ensures a seamless transition. Use a level frequently; the dimensional surface can mask lippage if not checked carefully.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
