Sealing: Calacatta Gold is a white, porous marble that requires thorough sealing before grouting and again immediately after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reapply a penetrating stone sealer every 6–12 months to protect against moisture infiltration, staining, and mineral buildup. A high-quality impregnating sealer is strongly recommended for long-term protection of the polished surface.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline product, as these will etch and dull the polished surface of Calacatta marble. Blot spills immediately, especially oils, wine, and citrus liquids, which can stain or etch white marble within minutes. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can scratch the mirror finish.

Installation: Always use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey adhesive from telegraphing through the semi-translucent white stone. Use non-sanded grout for the narrow joints between 2×2 chips to achieve clean, tight lines without scratching the polished faces. Back-butter each sheet lightly in addition to the substrate for full coverage and a secure bond. Allow sheets to fully cure before grouting, and seal the stone before applying grout to make cleanup significantly easier.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
