Brass mosaic care & maintenance: Brass will develop a natural patina over time — this is characteristic of genuine metal and part of its appeal. Unlacquered brass patinas more quickly and develops a warm, aged character. Lacquered brass retains its original bright finish longer. Clean with mild soap and water only — avoid abrasive cleaners and acidic products that can strip lacquer or accelerate uneven patination.
